Included in Global midwifery fee:

• Prenatal visits every 4 weeks until 28 weeks, every 2 weeks until 36 weeks, and weekly until birth.  
• Prenatal Nutrition educaton
• Holistic focused education and care
• All standard prenatal labs and cultures: all tests performed by me in my office. 
• Birth Preperation occurs in each prenatal visit, however a doula is highly recommended.
• Insurance filing done by my biller 
• 24 hour on call services starting at 37 weeks
• NST performed in my office if necessary 
• Attendance of the midwife for labor and birth(unless a precipitous birth limits attendance.) 
• GBS IV prophylaxis if GBS positive 
• IV fluids during the birth if necessary
• Birth Pool is included in the midwifery fee(client is responsible for ordering the birth kit that will contain all the items needed for a water birth.)
• Emergency care including management of post partum hemorrhage, positive pressure ventilation of the newborn, oxygen administration, and repair of a 1st-2nd degree vaginal lacerations.
• Immediate Postpartum care. The midwife stays for a minimum of 3 hrs post birth. 
  
  
• Clean up of all birth related things before departure of home after delivery
• 4 postpartum visits 
• Breastfeeding support

For baby: newborn exam, newborn metabolic screening, preservative free injectable or oral Vitamin K, Erythromycin eye ointment, CCHD screen

• Birth Certificate and Social Security number filing 

Global Fee for Midwifery Care

The midwife accepts cash, check, credit cards, cash app, HSA cards

Full fee is expected to be paid by 37 weeks gestation. As an out of network provider I am not permitted to file with insurance until after the birth occurs. Insurance takes 30 to 60 days to process. We never know whether insurance will pay or not or what they will pay. For this reason, I must collect my fee by 37 weeks. Once and if insurance reimburses, the client will be reimbursed the amount that insurance decided to pay towards the claim. 

Possible payment spacing

 Standard Fee schedule is as follows:

• Non-refundable deposit: $350.00 due at initial visit 

• Amount due by 16 weeks: $800

• Amount due by 20 weeks: $800

• Amount due by 24 weeks: $800

• Amount due by 28 weeks: $750

• Amount due by 32 weeks: $750

• Final payment due by 36 weeks: $750

If you are paid in full by 36 weeks I will discount when applicable.

• Travel fee of $350 due by 36 weeks if applicable
